Not necessarily. Some children drive their parents to distraction. It is not uncommon for parents to have built up (without realising it) a repertoire of responses that are seriously inappropriate and inconsistent, which results in some serious-looking persistent behavior ("chronic bad behavior"). The child's behavior is extreme - the parent does not know what to do - so - they repeat what they have always done. In these cases a child's behavior although entrenched is often still relatively easy to change, the difficulty is in convincing parents of the importance of the consistent use of subtle changes to their own behavior.

Absolutely.   Even if the behavior was not originally caused by "interactional problems" with the parents it often creates them.   The way parents control themselves and their responses to the behavior is always an issue.

ADHD predisposes the child and parents to problems relating with each other but ADHD behavior is not "bad" behavior.   ADHD does not make children behave badly . When parents receive training to respond differently their children do not continue to behave badly.   Interactive behavior techniques may not alter the underlying ADHD but may dramatically change the trauma of living with it.

If you mean   "do the same principles apply?"   then yes, we work on they assumption that they do.   The advice in the ebook is exactly the same for ADHD parents as for those with chronically  "badly"  behaved children.   However, Warwick's work with clients always differs as starting points and circumstances are always different.
